The best college basketball team in America is playing in the NCAA Tournament again this year ... but you probably won't see its stars in the NBA.
Why? Because the unquestioned top team is the women's squad at the University of Connecticut. The Huskies went undefeated this year, but that's old hat – they haven't lost since 2014, a total of 107 straight wins.
- They've won 104 games by double digits – 60 of those by more than 40 points.
- Their biggest win was a 103-37 victory over South Florida – a team ranked in the Top 20.
- The longest winning streak in men's NCAA history dates back more than four decades – to when UCLA won a mere 88 in a row.
They begin the playoff run this Saturday, with a game against the University of Albany Great Danes. Woof.
