A Benton elementary school teacher has been suspended for grabbing and pushing a student against a wall. As seen in the video from surveillance footage from the school.
You can see in the video, after leading the child to the hall, teacher Rebekah Bennett pushes him against the wall where he then slides down to the floor to sit.
The 10 year old boys dad says his son was told to go in the hall for misbehaving. According to his father, the boy refused so the teacher led him to the hall.
The boys father is not happy with how Bennett was disciplined. Bennett was suspended without pay by the school board until June 30, 2017.
Bennett must also complete certain courses before returning to the classroom. Benton Police have opened an investigation into the matter.
