Duggar sisters suing the city of Springdale

Several Duggar sisters are suing the city of Springdale, along with In Touch magazine.  Jill, Jinger, Joy and Jessa filed the suit over documents released detailing their brother Josh's molestation investigation.

The lawsuit states that they Duggar family began speaking to investigators in 2006 about molestation accusations. They were all under 18 at the time. The Duggars say they were told their statements wouldn't be released to the public.

However, In Touch magazine was able to obtain the police files after filing a Freedom of Information Act request in 2015. The Duggars say under Arkansas law, you cannot release info related to sexual misconduct involving children.  In a statement, the Duggars said they're only suing to protect all children who are victims of abuse.

The 4 Duggar sisters are suing city, county and police officials and the publishers of In Touch for damages. If you remember, the Duggar's show "19 Kids and Counting," was canceled after the In Touch stories were released.
