Central Arkansas:

Currently, there is a need for volunteers to help fill sandbags in the Faulkner County area to help combat the Arkansas River flood waters as they start to rise in Central Arkansas.

If you would like to donate your time and efforts to help those in need, you can volunteer to fill sandbags at:

Beaverfork Fire Department - 4 Beaverfork Rd., Conway

Conway Transportation Dept - 100 E. Robins Rd., Conway

Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own shovels and gloves, and any extras, if they can.

The Faulkner County OEM has stated that if you need sandbags, they can be picked up at the County Road Department at 65 Acklin Gap Rd, and also at Beaverfork Fire Department.

Volunteers are needed at two locations, one in Morrilton and in North Little Rock, to fill sandbags for the communities being affected by the Arkansas River flooding.

In Morrilton, volunteers will be at 33 Southern Valley Drive until 5 p.m. They also need trucks and trailers to help move the sandbags to 12 Lemley Drive in Kenwood.

In North Little Rock, volunteers will be at 6600 White Oak Drive to fill sandbags and deliver bags to the elderly in the neighborhood.

The Arkansas National Guard is filling sandbags at War Memorial and in Dardanelle to assist the community.
