One Maryland man came up with a new way to avoid being caught porch-pirating -- he got his five-year-old daughter to do the dirty work.
Cops in suburban D.C. say 46-year-old Gary Martin Smith told his child to run up to a porch and take a package waiting for the home's owners. The November 30th theft was caught on security footage.
Unfortunately for Smith, police didn't really believe that the the little girl hatched the plan all by herself. He's been arrested for theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. (FOX 5 DC)

For the fifth year in a row, an anonymous man dressed up as Santa Claus gave away a house to a family in need.
The secret Santa in Fairmont, West Virginia, identified Judith Annhocker as someone who could use a boost this holiday season.
She was at risk of losing her home because of financial hardship – and was trying to figure out how to keep it, so she continued to have a place to raise her sons.
That’s when this generous Santa showed up and saved the day, paying for the house.
The Santa works very hard to remain anonymous, but has explained that he has been blessed in his life – and now wants to “bless back.” (WOWK-TV)
