An 18 year old from Van Buren, AR forgot the first rule of underage drunk club -- by talking about underage drunk club in a 911 call, where he confessed to boozing it up at his own apartment.
He dialed the emergency number to report his crime, then came out with his hands up when officers responded to the complex. A cop at the scene said he asked the kid for an explanation, thinking a neighbor had filed the complaint, but found out that the young man had incriminated himself.
A spokesman for the Van Buren police department said, “The officers wanted to give him a chance so they said, you know, ‘Look, just stay in your apartment and don’t drink, and you can go back into your house,’ but I guess he wasn’t good with that. They actually gave him a chance to go back inside and sober up. But he refused. He said, ‘I really need to go to jail.’”
He was released after a mandatory six-hour hold. (ABC News)
