Komen Ozark Announces New Date for MORE THAN PINK Walk
New date is scheduled to Saturday, September 12, 2020
March 18, 2020- (Springdale, AR) Komen Ozark has announced that in light of the recent progression of COVID-19, and the CDC guidance to postpone mass gatherings, the organization has made the decision to reschedule the MORE THAN PINK Walk from Saturday, April 25 to Saturday, September 12 at the Pinnacle Hills Promenade Mall in Rogers.
“While this is incredibly disappointing, the health and safety of our constituents, volunteers, sponsors, and the community as a whole remain our top priority,” says Lauren Marquette, Executive Director of Komen Ozark. “We are continuing to monitor the situation and we remain here for the women and men touched by breast cancer who need our assistance.”
The MORE THAN PINK Walk event is a day where the community can share their space, their stories, their laughter, and their tears to raise money that saves lives. As such,Komen Ozark looks forward to sharing that day with the community later this year. The funds raised for the event support breast health programs in the local community including screening, diagnostic testing, treatment assistance, and more. No matter what is happening in the world, breast cancer does not stop and neither does the Komen Ozark mission.
