A quick check of America's emotional status!

With some folks already in coronavirus lockdown a month, not being able to resume their normal lives is getting to them, and a new survey reveals just how bad it’s getting.

According to the poll:

  • 58% of Americans say they’ve been in lockdown so long they have a hard time realizing what day it is.
  • 42% of Americans describe their mood as worried.
  • Others describe their mood as:
    • Stressed (38%)
    • Happy (30%)
    • Bored (23%)
    • Scared (11%)
    • Sad (11%)
    • Angry (7%)

Most folks are looking forward to the day things go back to some sense of normal, but when that will happen is another story.

  • 27% are hopeful it will happen somewhere between late May and June.
  • 15% think it won’t be until July.
  • 13% are predicting the fall.
  • Only 12% think mid May.
  • 10% don’t think it will happen until early 2021.

Sadly, there are people who aren’t that optimistic about things going back to normal at all.

  • While 69% of people think another wave will hit in the fall, another 9% think we’ll always have some sort of social distancing in our lives.
  • What’s more, 88% of people believe our sense of normal will always be very different than it was pre-coronavirus.
