Zoom meetings have become a part of lots of people’s daily work life with so many people working from home due to the coronavirus lockdown. And with those meetings more and more folks are getting a peak into their colleagues home life, and one person found something truly shocking about another co-worker.
Writer January Nelson shares that she recently started focusing on one colleague during each meeting, and when it was time to check out her co-worker "Martha"she got quite the surprise. Nelson notes the woman was “someone who blends into the background” so that even though they worked together for three years she didn’t know anything about her.
- When checking out her Zoom cube she noticed there wasn’t much there, except for a stack of books without titles. That’s when Nelson realizedone of those books was her notebook...filled with poems and short stories. Nelson had "lost" it in the office a few months earlier.
- Nelson alerted her bestie Elaine via text, who checked out Martha’s cube, only to reply to Nelson with a text back that read “That b*tch is wearing my earrings.”
- The two women decided not to call Martha out, but snoop. How? Elaine reached out to a hacker she’d been chatting with on Bumble to gain access to Martha’s computer camera so they could look around.
- After gaining access it took a bit before the camera’s view changed so they could look around, but when it did they were shocked.
- Martha had a wall of Halloween-type masks resembling each person from the office, complete with makeup and hair, except all the faces were female. Elaine threw up at the sight of it, while Nelson just couldn’t stop staring.
There's nothing they can do about their find since hacking is illegal, but they still can’t believe it, and hope to one day catch Martha in the act of stealing they can get her out of the office for good.
