What workers will and will not miss IF they work form home permanently!

The numbers are in and the idea of working from home forever is getting some mixed reviews. A new survey has found that if workers didn’t have to worry about COVID-19, and were given the option of doing things remotely, or coming into the office, that there’s a virtual tie between how many people want back into their cubicle and those that want to stay on their couch.

The study also found the majority of people are leaning towards coming into the office at least once in a while, and the question many of you rooting for PJs for life is wondering is why? Turns out there are a lot of things Americans they’re missing about office life. Here’s just a few examples:

  • “Better internet and technology, good printer, nice desk.”Nothing makes you appreciate a work printer more than having to pay for your own ink and paper.
  • “My office and ability to focus without family and pets interrupting.”Safe to say we can expect a big dip in participation during “bring you kid to work” days moving forward.
  • “Human contact with coworkers, yoga classes, free coffee and fruit, more exercise and walking, routine.”It’s too bad there’s not more info on where this 25-year-old woman from New Hampshire works because it sounds like a place we’d all be applying there ASAP.

And here’s what people said they wouldn’t miss about their office:

  • “Getting up at 5:30 in the morning.”No surprise there. If the options are sleeping more or sleeping less, it's not even close.
  • “In-person meetings and the loud atmosphere.”Seems like someone has been loving the ability to hit ‘mute’ during their Zoom calls.
  • “People coming in sick.”It wasn’t cool pre-corona, and now it’s ‘microwave fish in the break room’ level uncool.
