Father’s Day is on Sunday … and it seems people are splurging on dear ol’ dad.
According to theNational Retail Foundation, spending for Father’s Day could reach a record $17 billion – up from $16 billion last year. 75% of consumers are celebrating Father’s Day this year – with people spending an average of $149 on gifts – up $10 from last year. According to the survey, 77% say they want to make Father’s Day special this year, specifically because of coronavirus. But even though restrictions have been eased in many states, 58% of respondents say they still plan to celebrate virtually.
