When will employees be comfortable going back to the office?

A lot of folks have been working from home since March, and while some may be tired of it, a new poll shows not too many are eager to return to the office.

A new poll finds:

  • 39% of Americans have already returned to the office.
  • Of those who haven’t…
    • 19% are eager to return ASAP.
    • 15% want to wait until after September.
    • 13% don’t want to go back until 2021 or later.
    • 15% don’t ever want to return.

But while some are perfectly happy to continue working in their pajamas, officesaregetting ready to welcome employees back.

  • 91% of companies are currently creating guidelines and making changes to prepare their office for the return of employees.
  • 82% of the workforce expects their office to take precautionary measures before folks can return to work.
  • Precautions likely to be adopted include:
    • Wearing masks in the office (60%)
    • Socially distanced seating arrangements (71%)
    • Sanitation stations throughout the office (60%)
  • When it comes to facemasks in the office, companies in the Northeast are the most likely to require them (33%), followed by
    • South (32%)
    • West (28%)
    • Midwest (26%)
