Here are some great fall traveling locations!

Summer is unofficially over, which means it’s time to turn our attention to fall travel, and just like summer, fall travel will be a lot different this year. Well, now TripAdvisor is out with their Seasonal Travel Index for Fall revealing what exactly this season’s travel plans will look like for most people.

According to TripAdvisor:

  • 65% of all travelers are planning domestic all getaways.
  • September will be the busiest travel month, with 79% of all travelers planning a getaway this month.
  • People are still focused on outdoor getaways, with 61% of Americans considering outdoor or nature trips.
  • 54% are more likely to consider road trips as compared to before the coronavirus.
  • Beaches are also pretty popular, with domestic travelers more likely to take a beach vacation than a city getaway.
  • 55% of travelers are opting for two-to-five night trips, while 36% are only staying one night.
  • More people are opting for last minute travel, often booking less than a week in advance.
  • Safety is still a top priority, with 68% of people focused on cleanliness of an establishment. 
  • As for the top destinations, Key Largo, Florida is seeing the largest increase in bookings as compared to last year, although bookings are still down.
