China passes the US in the movie industry for the first time EVER

For the first time, China has surpassed North America as the world’s largest box office, according toThe Hollywood Reporter. While many theaters in the U.S. are still closed or open to very limited capacity, cinemas in China are open at about 75%. So far, ticket sales in China are at $1.988 billion this year, while North America’s total box office is $1.937 billion.

The cast of Happy Days will reunite to raise money for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, the state where the classic sitcom is set. Henry Winkler, Ron Howard, Don Most, Anson Williams, Marion Ross and writer Lowell Ganz will all appear at the virtual fundraiser on Sunday. (Variety)

Harrison Ford and Ed Helms will star in the shipwreck comedy The Miserable Adventures of Burt Squire Aboard the Horn High Yo. It's based on a true story, in which a man takes a "dream sailing vacation," but ends up shipwrecked in the Atlantic Ocean with an "unhinged" sea captain. (Variety)
