JASON MOMOA: "Completely in Debt" AfterGame of Thrones
Jason Momoa is one of the biggest stars in the world, but that hasn't always been the case.
The 41-year-old, who has two children with wife Lisa Bonet, says he hit some hard times after he was killed off Game of Thrones in 2011. He tells InStylemagazine, "I mean, we were starving after Game of Thrones. I couldn’t get work. It’s very challenging when you have babies and you’re completely in debt.”
But things started looking up when he was cast as Aquaman in Justice League in 2016, which was followed by the 2018 standalone flick Aquaman.
Now he's booked through 2024 with roles in Apple TV+'s See, Dune and an Aquaman sequel.
Jason says he couldn't believe how far his career had come when he first watched the Dune trailer. “It was ‘Josh Brolin, Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem,’ and I’m just like, ‘Oh my god. I can’t believe my name was with those names.’ I feel like I’m still a kid, freaking out."
