Update: Britney took to social media on Wednesday (August 10) to confirm that she is indeed hitching a ride with Corden. Her installment of "Carpool Karaoke" will air August 25, the day before Glory drops.
James Corden might still be trying to nab Kanye West and Beyoncé for his beloved "Carpool Karaoke" segment of "The Late Late Show," but he might have just grabbed another pop superstar.
Just a few days after announcing her ninth studio album, Glory, and teasing her "Make Me" music video on Instagram (Story), word on the street is that Britney Spears will appear on a forthcoming episode of "The Late Late Show" for Corden's famed segment, as per Page Six.
"We’re told her team’s working overtime to get her new album, “Glory,” to debut at No. 1 when it’s released on Aug. 26," a source revealed to the gossip outlet.
It's been forever since Spears, ya know, casually let us hear those pipes of hers, so fingers crossed this rumor is true. Oh, and save your lip-sync jabs for elsewhere because Spears remains absolutely unbothered as she soaks up the sun in Hawaii.
