Lainey Wilson will offer an in-depth glimpse of her life and career in a documentary slated to make its debut this spring.
The Amy Scott-directed documentary, Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool, will premiere worldwide on Netflix, per a report from Deadline on Wednesday morning (January 28). The entertainment news hub notes that the documentary will show how the reigning Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year blazes her own trails in the music industry, including “a pivotal moment in her career,” and the obstacles and victories that span her career.
“I couldn’t be more excited that this documentary is going to be on Netflix,” Wilson said in a statement. “This was such a special project to make, and I hope that folks who watch it see that no dream is too big and that staying true to who you are will always lead you exactly where you’re meant to be.”
Scott added that Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool “began as a fever dream project,” and along the way, it turned into “an intimate journey with one of the most dynamic and fascinating artists of today.” She hailed the Grammy-winning country star’s life and career as “deeply personal, wildly inspiring, and rooted in authenticity.”
Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool is due to release on April 22.
