Thanks to technology, these days most people feel like they are on the job 24/7, so it’s understandable that a lot of folks will suffer from job burnout on occasion, and a new report reveals just how bad things are getting.
A new survey finds that 74% of workers say they occasionally experience job burnout, while 17% say it happens very often. One reason for such burnout is likely because we’re all working a lot, with 48% of workers saying they work at least eight hours a day, while 40% work eight to twelve.
As for the biggest reasons folks experience burnout, 38% of workers say it’s because they have little time for their personal lives.Other main causes include:
- Lack of opportunity for advancement (26%)
- Negative workplace environment (23%)
- Unclear job expectations (21%)
- Bad relationship with your boss (14%)
- Not enough training to do your job (11%)
- Bad relationships with coworkers (10%)
- Not enough responsibility (8%)
