LUKE BRYAN: Surprise ACM Honor
It was a pretty epic night for Luke Bryan. The country star was given the honor of flipping the switch at the Grand Ole Opry for their annual "Opry Goes Pink" shows, raising awareness for breast cancer research.
But Luke was also got a big surprise when the interim executive director for the Academy of Country Music,Rac Clark, strolled on stage with a trophy recognizing the singer's Crash My Party album as the first recipient of the ACM's "Album of the Decade" award.
From the Opry stage, Luke said, “‘Crash My Party’ was such a life changing album for us. We didn’t know it at the time, we were just loving making music for you guys. It blew my mind the love and support we had from the fans. It’s so fun getting to do this."
Of course, Luke also performed while there, but instead of bringing out his band, he took the stage accompanying himself on guitar and then piano.
Congratulations, Luke!
