- “The Exorcist”
- “A Nightmare on Elm Street”
- “Halloween”
- “Texas Chainsaw Massacre”
- “Psycho”
- “The Shining”
- “The Evil Dead”
- “28 Days Later”
- “The Conjuring”
- “Alien”

- 47% say a scary movie caused them to have a nightmare
- The average person needs three days to shake off the effects a spooky flick.
- 52% of people say the things that frightened them when they are young have the same effect on the today.
- ONE MORE THING!The poll finds that 46% of people think they’d survive if they were dropped into a horror flick. If they didn’t, 39% think they’d suffocate, while 29% would be stabbed, trip or fall on a fatal device, or crash in a car, with 25% suffering death by decapitation.
