There's a ton of dating apps out now asking you to pay big bucks to find love. Here's what they don't want you to know: You can save your money, because you already have the best dating apps, and they're free.
You may think of Twitter and Instagram as platforms strictly to post bomb selfies or throw shade at whatever's trending, but here's why some people say you should be using them to find a bae as well.
- Casual Stalking.Move over matching people based off surveys, hello crepping. Want to really know what people are into and where they land politically? Look at their Twitter feed. Scrolling through that bad boy is going to let you know more about them than any tiny blurb they write on Tinder.
- Sample Their Personality.People hide a lot on dating apps. You can get a much clearer picture of who someone is through their Insta. Their stories will give you a real taste of how they act and the photos they're tagged in give you an in-depth look into the personal life they may be hiding from not only their own feed but dating sites as well.
- In Your Network.Use your friends as digital matchmakers. If you're seeing a hotty pop-up in your friend's Insta stories, or their memes constantly being retweeted by your own followers, lean into that "friend of a friend" vibe and slide into their DMs. If they are popping up on your screen, at least your friends have vetted them, and they aren't a complete stranger who could fabricate their life’s story.
- You're Going To End Up Here Anyways.A recent study found 79% of people looked up their matches on social media before meeting them in person and 57% friended or followed them. Cut out the middleman and cut out the subscription fees.
