The reasons why Millennials change jobs so much!

Studies show the average Millennial will have worked as many jobs by the age of 34, as older generations did in their entire lifetime. So much for being lazy and entitled huh?

With the typical worker staying in the same role for only about five-and-a-half years and applying for at least 23 jobs so far in their career, it’s fair to say that there is a high rate of turnover in most businesses right now. If you’re an employer looking to avoid a revolving door of Millennials, take some notes, here’s the top reasons we change jobs:

  1. More money
  2. Career progression
  3. Location
  4. Bigger challenges
  5. Less stress
  6. Better training
  7. After being made redundant
  8. Awful Bosses
  9. Children
  10. Changing career fields

Bosses of the world ask yourselves, are these really unreasonable requests? More money and responsibility, less stress, opportunities to advance, and a supervisor that isn’t a tool? Are we really that different from any other generation?
