People are finding interesting ways to entertain themselves during self-isolation. From cutting bangs to tie-dying clothes, they’re fighting boredom creatively. But model, dancer and social media influencer Conor McKenzie has started a trend with an elaborate one-man runway show he performed at home wearing nothing but a blanket.
Theone-minute videoposted to his Instagram shows him strutting his stuff while wearing the same blanket seven different ways and it has almost 300-thousand views. He sports the blue bedding like a makeshift superhero cape, a dress, a head covering, and even a flowing ascot, all while heading to the fridge for snacks. He says he started playing around with the blanket to entertain himself during lockdown and it turned into a fun fashion show that’s entertaining the masses.
And it’s also inspired a new social media trend of people dressing up in their bedding - the#quarantinepillowchallenge. They’re wearing their pillows and bedding with belts and accessories to create interesting looks. They’re not exactly fashions you could wear out of the house, but it’s a unique way to battle coronavirus cabin fever.
