Most Americans are likely sick of being cooped up in their homes, but it seems some folks have found away to escape the confines of their four walls, while still sticking with their self-quarantine. A new report by Cars.com finds that more and more people are looking to their cars to help them escape the monotony of daily life in lockdown.
The survey finds:
- 60% of parents and 45% of non-parents have brought back the leisurely Sunday drive simply to be able to get out of the house.
- 53% of parents say they are using their cars as a way of escaping their home and their kids.
- Cars are even helping those working from home, with 20% of Americans, particularly parents, using their vehicles as a makeshift office.
