How COVID-19 may change the "party" scene in the future.

As Millennials we’ve been told our whole lives we’re not into “things” but instead, we’re into “experiences.” If that’s true, we’re in big trouble because the coronavirus has made nearly every “experience” outside of eating a third breakfast in bed nearly extinct. But there is still hope out there that we will be able to party hardy once again. It’s just going to look a heck of a lot different.

  • Music Festivals.Until a vaccine is available, festival-goers may have to prove they are coronavirus-free to get through the gates. At least that’s one of the ideas being floated by organizers to get them up and running again. They do have the benefit of being outdoors but the social distance is at a minimum. Especially with the amount of people the major festivals would need to hit in order to make sense financially. In other words, save that Coachella gear in a safe space, because it’s going to be a hot minute.
  • Park hangs and house parties. The future of partying is going to look a lot like the party’s your parents used to throw you in grade school. Park pavilions may become the 2020’s version of Ibiza. They’ve got the outdoor thing going on and enough space to keep people separated. Hopefully soon though we’ll be able to have more than just our bunker buddies over and party like our parents are out of town.Except with a whole lot more hand sanitizer than back in High School.
