Some things people are missing from working in the office!

Remember back in the day when we had offices? What wild times those were with people willingly touching each other's hands and breathing the same air. Working from home seems like it’s here to stay and it has a lot of people reminiscing about the “good old days” of about four months ago.

Here’s what some genuine millennials say they’re missing, and not missing, about the office life:

  • Snacks. According to a new survey, a lot of millennials are missing free office food. Communications director Anna Lewes says there was always “an epic snack table at my office and there’s no way to replicate that in my home without looking seriously gluttonous!” And even if you tried, advertising executive Brandise Manfield says it’s “just not the same” and it’s the “conversations that take place around that table that I really miss.”There’s just something about snacks that other people may have touched that make them so much better.
  • Connection. Freelance graphic designer Abigail Vims has the same feeling a lot of our generation shares that the lack of contact with people has zapped her creativity and productivity. She “misses human energy” and says “that connection and direct communication- you just can’t replicate that at home.”It turns out our pets aren’t the conversationalists we thought they were.
