Sorry if this next story makes you hurt yourself from facepalming too hard. It appears many Americans haven’t learned anything from the coronavirus and are fine with going right back into their unsafe work habits. Particularly the questionable decision to head into the office when they’re not feeling 100%.
A new survey has found one in 14 people admit they’d go to work regardless of how sick they were and a shocking third of folks say they’d keep working with cold or flu symptoms because they would miss their co-workers and office banter.Which is kind of cute in a really twisted way.What’s making us risk our health and the health of others?
Our bosses, apparently. Nearly half the poll said they feel pressure to show up from their employer. And on top of the guilt trip, the survey found most people say they have such a heavy workload that they’d feel guilty dumping it on something else. But don’t be too quick to give your cubicle mate a pat on the back. First of all,ew germs, and second, the study found that a third of people don’t think about their co-worker’s health when they decide to work sick.How rude!
