People have gone months without getting cosmetic procedures after the pandemic put elective surgeries on hold in the U.S., but restrictions are lifting and patients are ready. Some folks may have found a new appreciation for their filler-free faces during lockdown, but a new survey from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons shows people are ready for their nips and tucks again.
The report includes interviews with 350 plastic surgeons around the country and which enhancements they’re getting the most requests for as their clinics reopen. Topping the list is Botox and these are the top five requests:
- Botox- 65% of patients asked for this injectable.
- Breast augmentation- 44% requested boob jobs.
- Soft tissue fillers- 37% asked for fillers, which are commonly injected into lips, cheeks, and fine lines.
- Liposuction- 30% want lipo to remove excess fat and contour the body.
- Abdominoplasty- 24% requested a “tummy tuck,” which removes fat and skin from the stomach area.
