If you’re wondering if Kanye West is serious about running for president – as per his recent announcement – the answer is an unadulterated yes. He opened up about his aspirations – and every other thing – in a recentForbesinterview.
‘Ye already has a running mate –Michelle Tidball, a preacher from Wyoming who reportedly offers biblical life coaching for $65 for 50-minute sessions. He’s not running as a Democrat or Republican. He’s running under the Birthday Party because, as he said, “When we win, it’s everybody’s birthday.” He also just registered to vote for the first time in his life this week.
As far as Donald Trump is concerned, ‘Ye is finally done with his MAGA worship. While he still asserts that, “Trump is the closest president we’ve had in years to allowing God to still be part of the conversation,” he acknowledged that he’s “taking the red hat off with this interview.”
Here’s more from the mind of Kanye:
- ‘Ye calls the notion of Black people being Democrats a form of racism and white supremacy and white control. “I was threatened into being in one party,” he explained. “I was threatened as a celebrity into being in one party. I was threatened as a Black man into the Democratic Party. And that’s what the Democrats are doing, emotionally, to my people. Threatening them to the point where this White man [Joe Biden] can tell a Black man if you don’t vote for me, you’re not Black.”
- Kanye is pro-life and thinks that Planned Parenthood has “been placed inside cities by white supremacists to do the Devil’s work.”
- He wants the White House to run according to the Wakanda management model. To review, Wakanda is the fictional setting of “Black Panther.”
- Apparently ‘Ye had COVID-19 in February, but got over it. He’s against coming up with vaccine against it. To him, it would be “the mark of the beast.” The way he sees it, “They want to put chips inside of us. They want to do all kinds of things, to make it where we can’t cross the gates of heaven.” Oh, and the “they” he’s referring to? The humans who have the Devil inside them.
- He says he loves China because his mother – the late Donda West– taught English there when he was in the 5th grade. And while Trump has referred to the disease as the Wuhan Flu, Kanye doesn’t see it that way. “It’s not the Chinese people’s fault. They’re God’s people also,” he noted. “It changed my life. It changed my perspective, it gave me such a wide perspective.”
