Are you saving money by working from home? Probably not!

You’d think the stay-at-home orders would have been the best thing to ever happen to our savings account, but you’d be wrong. According to a new survey, the average person working from home has actually been spending more money than when they were going to the office.Almost makes the commute worth it. Not really... but almost.

Turns out the money we've been saving on gas and lunch at work doesn’t cover the increases in spending we’ve made in utilities and groceries. When it comes to things like power and water, we’re spending $121 more a month on average, and we’re also spending an average of $182 more on groceries. That’s a lot of flaming hot Cheetos.

And real talk Millennials. This is our fault. The survey found we’re spending the most and it’s not even close. On average, our generation’s spending has gone up by $208 a month while Gen-Xers and baby boomers are both spending less than before the rona’.If only we hadn’t “Ok Boomer’d” them into the stone age.. we could have learned their budgeting ways. But still, you can’t put a price on that level of satisfaction.
