Somehow a little piece of cloth has become politically charged, and while everyone is yelling about freedom versus public duty, they’re missing one of the most important questions:Does wearing a make you look hot?

Like, very good…” andBuzzFeedstraight up declared a picture of Chris Pine buying books and wearing a mask as “Literally the Hottest Celeb Pic of 2020.”Vanessa Brown from Nottingham Trent University has written about the effect that sunglasses have on increasing attractiveness and says masks are pretty similar. She also said the history of outlaws and motorcyclists wearing bandanas and face coverings add a few notches to the sexiness due to coolness alone.
- Nay.If you pine for the good old days of seeing people’s mouths, science is on your side. A recent study from Japanese Psychological Research found that “perceived facial attractiveness was decreased in general by wearing a sanitary mask.” But to be fair, this study was done pre-coronavirus where one of the main reasons people said they were turned off was that they thought the mask wearers were unhealthy. Things might have changed now that they’re becoming more normalized for healthy folks to wear.
