Sure, the numbers of coronavirus cases might feel increasingly bad, but CDC Director Robert Redfield says there’s something you’re missing – that daily cases are actually slowing. Apparently, that trend has been developing in the last few weeks.
And by the way, that’s not a guess on his part. That’s according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. And while the number of deaths is being stubborn, Redfield says the information suggests those are going to start dropping off, too. We might see it as soon as the next few weeks.
Where do we stand with COVID-19?According to the latest numbers from Johns Hopkins, the United States has confirmed just over five-point-five million cases across the United States since the beginning – while 174-thousand have succumbed to the illness. In good news?More than one-point-nine-million have recovered.
- ONE MORE THING!We may not hear from Dr.Anthony Fauci, who heads the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, for some time. He’s recovering fromvocal cord surgery he had in Washington yesterday morning. He had a polyp removed and is said to be doing well, but his surgeon has reportedly ordered Fauci to stop talking while he recovers.
