By now most people are used to dealing with bad customer service reps, but apparently folks are now dealing with a totally different type of rep – a flirty one.

A host of Amazon shoppers have taken to social media to share examples of how customer service reps have been flirting with them in online chats and it may just creep you out. It all started when a Twitter user named Roxana shared a screenshot of her chat with agent Rupesh. During one point in their chat about her missing package Rupesh wrote her, "You are very sweet and I must say you have a very lovely name.” Then after resolving her issue he claimed that the “bad news” was they’d now have to “part ways.”

After posting the exchange, it quickly went viral with 307,000 likes and 23,000 shares, with plenty of other folks sharing their flirty messages from Amazon reps.

  • “DUDE I swear this happened to me last year,” a user named Suz shared, noting that the rep called her “breathtaking. “I think it’s because I had to email them something and my pic was attached to my email account," she explained.
  • Another user joked that she and the rep were “in love,” sharing the chat in which the rep Fazia noted, "I really really loved chatting with you today, it was truly amazing,” adding, “I don't want this to end, I have enjoyed this a lot, haven't had a chat like this in forever.”
  • Of course some folks didn’t see what the big deal was, with most pointing out it was simply “friendly conversation.”
  • As for Amazon, they told Fox News, “We do encourage our associates to create engagement with our customers, which aligns with our peculiar culture. However, we do not tolerate language which may be offensive,” adding, “We are looking into these incidences, and will take the appropriate actions once our investigation is complete.”
