It certainly wasn’t easy being a bride or groom in 2020, with the coronavirus affecting most weddings this year, but it seems most couples have gotten through their struggles, and some have come out better for it.

A new Brides.com survey finds:

Of course actually getting married is another story.

  • 66% of couples did indeed decide to postpone their wedding due to the coronavirus.
  • 36% were still able to get hitched during the pandemic, and many are planning larger celebrations once it’s over.
  • When they do get married, 47% plan to downsize their guest list.
  • 26% will actually spend more money than they had originally planned.
  • 23% are sticking with plans for a destination wedding.

As for why couples want to say “I Do.”
