Asurveyof 2-thousand parents finds 44% don’t say anything and just hope their kids won’t notice, 43% pretend the sweets magically disappeared on their own and 41% tell their kids they had to take some so they could “inspect” it for safety.
But this year, there’s a new incentive for fessing up. Butterfinger is giving away $25-thousand to one lucky winner who confesses to their candy swiping crime. All you have to do is “turn yourself in” by November 6th in a digital confession to theButterfinger Investigators- aka the BFI - to enter.
The pros? You’ll still get to swipe some of your kids’ tasty treats, plus your funny video confession could get you a few seconds of Halloween Internet fame. And the con? You’ll have to admit that you’re the candy-sneaking thief. But if it wins you $25-thousand, it’s totally worth it.
