CMA'S ARE PLANNING A TRIBUTE
Charlie Danielswill be recognized immediately at the2020 CMA Awards.Jason Aldean,Dierks Bentley,Ashley McBrydeand more will lead a multi-song, show-opening tribute to the late singer and Country Music Hall of Fame inductee.
Daniels — best known for his 1979 song "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" — died at age 83 in July after suffering a stroke. He contributed swampy, country-rock songs and imaginative storytelling, plus his fiddle playing, even if he played far more guitar than fiddle during live shows.Brothers Osborneand reigning CMA Musician of the Year Jenee Fleenor will also join the tribute, with Fleenor sure to add the iconic introduction and solo to theCharlie Daniels Band's biggest hit.

KEITH, JASON AND MORE: Added to CMA Performers List
Jason Aldean, Jimmie Allen, Ingrid Andress, Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne, Dan + Shay with Justin Bieber, Jenee Fleenor, Little Big Town, Old Dominion, Jon Pardi, Carly Pearce with Lee Brice, Keith Urban and Morgan Wallen have been added to the list of performers for next week's CMA Awards.
The lineup already includes Reba McEntire, Darius Rucker, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde, and Maren Morris. Several collaborations are also on tap, including Lady A and Darius, Thomas Rhett featuring Reba, Gabby Barrett and Charlie Puth, and Hillary Scott and Chris Tomlin.
Brothers Osborne, Ashley, Jason and Dierks will open the show with a tribute to Charlie Daniels.
Little Big Town will honor Kenny Rogers, and Jon Pardi will pay tribute Joe Diffie. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the movie Urban Cowboy, Old Dominion will perform Johnny Lee’s “Looking for Love.”
The CMA Awards, hosted by Reba and Darius, air live on Wednesday at 7 p.m. [CT] on ABC.
