An adorable 10-year-old girl from North Carolina is getting an early start on activism today.
Laura Moreschi tweeted a letter that her daughter wrote to her school principal on Monday letting him know that she won't be in school on Wednesday because she was taking part in A Day Without a Woman.
She wrote, "I would like to participate in 'The Day Without Women' protest. I am going to write a letter to the editor, contact my congressman and do whatever I can to make my voice heard."
She added, "With your permission I would like to be excused from school this Wednesday. I will talk to my teachers and get my schoolwork ahead of time but I would just like you to know the reason of my absence."
