What would you do if you came home and found all of your stuff in a dumpster?
An apartment complex in Jacksonville, Florida recently evicted a resident and threw out all of her stuff. One problem: They evicted the wrong resident.
Brianna Davis returned home to find her apartment completely empty, except for a bed frame, and all of her belongings tossed into a dumpster. She'd just paid her rent for March and demanded an explanation, which she eventually got. It turns out that maintenance workers were instructed to evict the occupant of apartment 213 and mistakenly evicted Davis in apartment 223.
Davis says the apartment manager told her it was a mix-up and said she could move her stuff from the dumpster back into her apartment. But obviously she's not OK with that. Davis wants management to pay for all of the stuff they threw out. Not only that -- whoever directed workers to empty out her apartment could face burglary and theft charges. (WJAX-TV)
