A study of couples around the world found that men don’t like doing housework – and often successfully avoid it – because they perceive it as “feminine.”
Men everywhere won’t get their hands dirty at home because they believe women are “displaying their femininity” through housework – and guys are “demonstrating their masculinity” by ducking out of it.
It doesn’t even matter if the man of the house is unemployed and has more time for cooking and cleaning. Unemployed guys end up feeling crappy about being out of work, and do even less housework, while the wife or girlfriend steps up and does even more. (The Guardian)
