A nail salon in Memphis, Tennessee, allegedly charges overweight customers more for pedicures …
A patron took a pic of a sign at the salon and posted it to Facebook. The sign read: "Sorry, but if you are overweight, pedicures will be $45 due to service fees for pedicurists. Thank you!" Apparently, a basic pedicure at Rose Nails costs $25.50.
The sign has since been removed and a spokesman for the salon denies that it ever hung in the salon. Though he did tell a reporter that overweight customers were more difficult to service and there had been some incidents where salon chairs were broken because of the weight of the patron.
By the way, the shop charges men $5 more for a pedicure. Why? Because, since guys get pedicures less frequently, they may require more work. (Redbook)
