An American Airlines co-pilot died Wednesday afternoon during a flight from Dallas-Fort Worth to Albuquerque.
The flight was just two miles away from Albuquerque International Sunport when the captain radioed an emergency on board, citing "a medical issue" and requesting emergency personnel at the gate. Paramedics removed first officer William "Mike" Grubbs from the plane and performed CPR on him before pronouncing him dead. The F.A.A. is investigating the cause of death. (NY Daily News)
This is why you need two people in the cockpit.
