According to new research, being lonely can make your cold symptoms worse. Researchers found that being lonely doesn’t necessarily increase your chances of getting a cold in the first place, but being lonely makes the symptoms more severe once you get sick. And, it really doesn’t matter how big your social network is. You can have a bunch of friends. But if you feel lonely, you’re going to have a rougher time when you’re sick. It ends up being more about the quality of your relationships, and not so much about the quantity. (UPI)
