Thrill seekers on a roller coaster in Maryland got more than they bargained for yesterday when the ride suddenly stopped and left them stuck 100 feet up in the air for nearly four hours.
24 people were riding Joker's Jinx at Six Flags America when the ride stopped around 5:30 p.m. All riders were safely brought down at 9:20 p.m. and there were no reports of any injuries. Officials say the riders were actually in good spirits considering what they had just been through. The ride will remain closed pending a thorough inspection. (WTOP-TV Washington, DC)
The riders are lucky it didn't get stuck upside down.
