Police are searching a landfill in Morrilton for evidence in the case of a missing Colorado woman. Ashley Mead, 25, and her one year old daughter were reported missing on February 14th. Police believe that parts of her body could be scattered across the country and possibly in a purple suitcase. Her torso was found in Tulsa.
The father of Mead's daughter, Adam Densmore, was arrested and charged with first degree murder, tampering with a deceased human body, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse. Police say that Densmore left Boulder with Mead and headed to Raton, NM. From there, he went through the TX panhandle to Haughton, LA. At that point, Police believe that Densmore dismembered Mead outside of Shreveport.
Reports say that Densmore spent one night on his journey in Conway.
Mead's one year old daughter was found with Densmore when he was arrested. She is now in custody of Child Protective Services.
A $1,000 cash reward is being offered for information about Mead’s death. Anyone with information is asked to call Boulder Police at 303-441-1974 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. You can remain anonymous.
