Scientist trying to bring Ice Age lion back to life

I've seen Jurassic Park... and I'm not sure this is a great idea.

Scientists in Siberia, Russia, found a perfectly preserved corpse of a 50,000-year-old lion from the ice age.

The animal weighs nine pounds and is a foot-and-a-half long.

And now, the scientists want to bring it back to life by extracting its DNA – just like Jurassic Park. (Independent)

If we're not going to be wiped out by artificial intelligence or by turning the earth in to a giant fireball, couldn't we get wiped out by bringing back extinct species that could hunt us down?

The cub - its head shown - is believed to be about eight weeks old and tests are underway to find its exact age Screengrab/YouTube
