Drunk and stupid? There's an app for that, as a New Jersey man found after booking a $1600 Uber ride home from a bender in another state.
Kenny Bachman had been out partying on a guys' weekend in Morgantown, West Virginia when he requested the ride. But he was so wasted at the time that he punched in his home address instead of the Air BnB where he was staying -- then promptly passed out in the backseat.
By the time Bachman shook off the cobwebs, the driver had almost completed the 300-mile trip, and, as he puts it, "I just woke up, and I'm thinking, 'Why the [expletive] am I in the car next to some random ass dude I don't even know?'"
The passed-out passenger initially challenged the fare, which ended up even higher than it might have been because he inadvertently requested a limo instead of a regular sedan, but ended up agreeing to pay it, saying, "What am I, just going to get dropped off on the side of the road?" (NJ.com)
