About 10,000 Carroll Electric customers lost power Monday afternoon.
At 4:53 p.m., the Carroll Electric outage website listed about 10,000 customers without power. The outages were in the area of western Bentonville, Centerton, Decatur, Gravette and Bella Vista.
A spokesperson for the company told 40/29 at 4:45 p.m. it did not yet know the cause of the outage.
Centerton Mayor Bill Edwards posted on Facebook about the outage at about 4:30 p.m.
"Carroll Electric is reporting a power outage on the north side of our community, they are aware of the issue and working to resolve this at this time, no ETA is available but I'll post any updates I receive," he wrote.
