Crazy! 1 in 6 Two-Year-Olds Are Getting This!

It's not just adults that are coffee fiends - it seems like even our toddlers are hooked on the stuff! A recent study found that one in six two-year-olds is consuming the equivalent of one coffee per day. That's a lot of caffeine for little ones, and it's no wonder they're bouncing off the walls.

Some parents may be wondering if they should be worried about all this caffeine intake. Is it safe for kids to have so much caffeine? The answer is...it's complicated.

There hasn't been a whole lot of research on the effects of caffeine on kids, but we do know that it can cause problems like restlessness, irritability, and difficulty sleeping. Too much caffeine can also be dangerous, especially for young children, since it can lead to rapid heartbeats and other health problems.

So should you cut out caffeine altogether for your little ones? Not necessarily. Just be mindful of how much caffeine they're getting and try to limit their intake where possible. And if you're ever concerned about how much caffeine your child is consuming, always talk to your pediatrician.
