Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley quickly sparked rumors about their apparent new relationship when they shared a photo with one another celebrating Easter together on Sunday (April 20).

Cyrus, 63, is kissing Hurley, 59, in the photo on Instagram. Neither of them have publicly confirmed or denied the rumored romance as of publication time on Tuesday morning (April 22); however, the pair appear to have been commenting on one another’s social media posts for a while, including Hurley’s heart emoji on a teaser Cyrus posted earlier this month. Hurley also set a reel to Cyrus’ “She’s Not Crying’ Anymore” as she posed in a bikini amid “the most glorious sunset in the glorious Maldives.”

Hurley and Cyrus reportedly met a few years ago while working on a comedic holiday sequel together. Hurley and Cyrus starred in Christmas in Paradise, alongside Kelsey Grammer and others in the cast of the 2022 movie. Christmas in Paradise follows Hurley’s character, Joanna, whose “holiday is shattered when her sisters tell her that their dad has been dumped, isn't responding to any calls, and has disappeared to a Caribbean island. The sisters decide to go save their father and bring him home for Christmas,” reads its description on IMDb.

Hurley said in a MovieWeb Q&A in 2022 that she’d “long been a fan of” Cyrus. She noted son Damian Hurley, now 23, whom she welcomed with late businessman and film producer Steve Bing, was also a fan because of Hannah Montana. Hurley said in the Q&A that working with Cyrus was “a big plus.” Damian was one of many commenters to react to his mother’s Instagram post with Cyrus, using just two emojis: “🥳♥️.” the “Achy Breaky Heart” star’s children have not publicly acknowledged the rumored new relationship as of publication time.

The flirty Easter photo arrives a few months after Cyrus delivered a viral Inauguration Day performance, and several months after he finalized his divorce from fellow singer-songwriter FIREROSE (whom he met on the set of Hannah Montana). Cyrus and FIREROSE, who is in her 30s, called it quits seven months into their marriage. Cyrus said in a statement when the divorce was finalized in August 2024 that the marriage was “the most crazy insane scam,” and he’s “very relieved” it’s over. Cyrus finalized his divorced from Tish Cyrus in 2022, ending nearly 30 years of marriage. The former couple share five children: Brandi Cyrus, 37, Trace Cyrus, 35 (both of whom Cyrus adopted when he married their mother in the early 90s), Braison Cyrus, 30, and daughters Miley Cyrus, 32, and Noah Cyrus, 25. Cyrus is also a father to son Christopher Cody Cyrus, 32, from a previous relationship. Hurley was previously married to businessman Arun Nayar, 60, from 2007 to 2011.
