But what are we supposed to do with them as time passes and they wither and die? Here are some ways to make the most of those blooms, so you’re not just tossing all that love in the trash.
Let them die - Because you can decorate with them. Stick them in a vase and you’ll have a reminder of your S.O.’s thoughtful gift forever.
Get crafty - Channel your inner Martha Stewart and hang the flowers in a window, or shape them into a cool design and frame them. Or press them and use them to add to the personalized homemade stationery you’re planning to make, or the handmade candles you’re making someday.
Make potpourri - If homemade candles and paper are a bit out of your crafting comfort zone, just take those fallen petals and create a sweet smelling potpourri with them. This is a beginner level project - all you need is some spices or citrus peel to add to the mix and your room or drawer will be garden-fresh in no time.
Create a cleaning agent - Who knew you could make a cleaning product with your leftover flowers? The smarties at Organic Authority, that’s who.
